Speaker Simina welcomes Kosovo Ambassador Malazogu

PALIKIR, POHNPEI – September 13, 2017.   On Wednesday afternoon, Speaker Wesley W. Simina welcomed to the Congress the newly accredited Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo to the Federated States of Micronesia, Ambassador Leon Malazogu.

 The Ambassador had earlier that morning presented his credentials to President Peter M. Christian as his country’s representative to the FSM and continued the day with courtesy visits to other state and national leaders.

 Speaker Simina welcomed Ambassador Malazogu to the Congress and congratulated him on his accreditation to the FSM. Their discussions briefly touched on various issues of national interest. Ambassador Malazogu expressed his interest in cultures and traditions to which the Speaker shared that to truly appreciate the beauty and diversity of the FSM he must visit the rest of the states.  Ambassador Malazogu was accompanied by his First Secretary Enis Xhemaili and is based in Japan.

 The Republic of Kosovo established diplomatic ties with the FSM on September 17, 2013.
